Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta Presentation at Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung, May 13, 2009


Enthusiasm, excitement and curiosity were in the air as our team presented the All New Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta to the students of STP Bandung on 13 May 2009.

Led by our Executive Chef Raymond Tan, accompanied by Learning & Development Executive Rekke Juwita, the team received lots of questions from the inquisitive students.


The participants were students who are about to explore the real hotelier life by doing their On the Job Training (OJT) program on hotels in Indonesia as well as abroad.


We wish all the students every bit of success when they start their program and looking forward to welcome them in Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta as our Trainee.

New Colleague Orientation, May 04-06 2009


Congratulations to our new colleagues who have just completed the New Colleagues Orientation Programme on May 04 - 06 2009.


The 3 day Programme is designed for every new colleague to understand the culture of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and enjoying themselves on how to work together as a team.

Welcome, Mona Kezia


Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is delighted to welcome Mona Kezia as our Colleague Concierge.

Recently graduated from one of the most reputable universities in Jakarta Mona will bring lots of energy and passion to our family.

Mona main responsibility will be to ensure that all our colleagues will receive the same level of services as our guests.


Here a little insight from our conversation with Mona during her first day on the job:


Colleague Service (HRD) : Why did you decide to join Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta as this is the first company you have ever worked with?


Mona : I am really impressed with the way the hotel team followed up on my application and this process was different than other companies I had applied to.


Colleague Service (HRD) : You are now the Colleague Concierge for our hotel, and we understand that it is a very big responsibility, especially when handling our internal guests which are our colleagues here at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, how do you feel about it?


Mona : Yes it is a very big responsibility but I am very excited that I will be able to serve our colleagues and to make sure that they also will experience similar service as our guests.


Colleague Service (HRD) : Well Mona, thank you very much for your time and again thank you for making Mandarin Oriental Jakarta to be your employer of choice.
